BTI's goal is to increase the State's pool of credentialed, long-term bioscience and pharmaceutical technicians. Our methods and programs are geared for excellence, we follow strict criteria in selecting students with high expectations for performance, attendance, attitude and professionalism.
Our Mission is to:
- Provide specifically trained technicians for the expanding bioscience industry in Maryland
- Provide rewarding, science-based job paths to post-high school residents
- Support the State of Maryland's efforts to attract biotech firms by helping to supply a trained workforce
- Assist bioscience firms and universities in the development of customized programs and training methods to train entry-level workers and existing staff
- Develop and deliver specialized workshops for the intensive training needs of university and commercial labs
