Message from our Executive Director

A Letter from Our Executive Director –

Biotech Friends,

I can’t wait for you to meet a group of BTI laboratory associates! You will love them! These candidates have training in Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, ISO 9000, metric system calculations of weights and measures, solution formulations, aseptic techniques, cell culture, basic molecular biology and, of course, clean room and gowning technique. Our entry-level job candidates have a high school diploma or GED and a strong proficiency in the techniques listed above. I have no doubt that any one of these individuals will add significantly to your production capability.

A number of Maryland bioscience companies have already appreciated the savings and workforce training benefits of our Laboratory Associates. And, as they have learned, BTI-trained Laboratory Associates are dedicated for the long haul. We have worked very hard to establish excellence and the successful employment records of our graduates indicates that it was achieved! Our training model is now attracting nationwide attention.

I want to offer you an opportunity to interview our students for your present job openings. This is a wonderful time for you to fulfill your employment plan and conquer the problem of finding qualified entry-level workers forever! If you would like assistance preparing a customized training program for five or more workers, we will also help you. Workforce training programs can provide funds to assist with the costs of training. Qualified job candidates are ready for work now.

We look forward to meeting you and we thank you for your interest in the BioTechnical Institute as a source for qualified entry-level employees. Please call to be added to the interview schedule or contact us if you have any additional questions at 410-752-4224.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Weiss
Executive Director
